Danakil Depression
The Danakil Depression is the northern part of the Afar Triangle or Afar Depression in Ethiopia, a geological depression that has resulted from the divergence of three tectonic plates in the Horn of Africa.
Simien Mountains
They consist of plateaus separated by valleys and rising to pinnacles. The tallest peak is Ras Dejen. the mountains are almost unique, with only South Africa's
Drakensberg having been formed in the same manner and thus appearing similar.
Tigray Rock Churches
Churches were hewn from rock in Ethiopia, and tis practice was very common in Tigray, where the outside world knew of only a few such churches until a Catholic priest presented a paper to announce the existence of over 120 churches.
Lalibela
The whole of Lalibela is a large antiquity of the medieval civilization of Ethiopia. Lalibela is one of Ethiopia's holiest cities, second only to Axum, and a center of pilgrimage
Omo Valley
Omo National Park is one of the national parks of Ethiopia. Located in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region on the west bank of the Omo River, the park covers approximately 4,068 square kilometers, about 870 kilometers southwest of Addis Ababa; across the Omo is the Mago National Park.
Axum
The Kingdom of Aksum (also known as the Kingdom of Axum, or the Aksumite Empire) was an ancient kingdom in what is now Eritrea and northern Ethiopia. Ruled by the Aksumites, it existed from approximately 100 AD to 940 AD. The polity was centered in the city of Axum and grew from the proto-Aksumite Iron Ageperiod around the 4th century BC to achieve prominence by the 1st century AD.
Bahir Dar

Gonder
Fasil Ghebbi (Royal Enclosure) is the remains of a fortress-city within Gondar,
Ethiopia. It was founded in the 17th century by Emperor Fasilides (Fasil) and was the home of Ethiopia's emperors. Its unique architecture shows diverse influences including Nubian styles. The site was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. Ghebbi is an Amharic word for a compound or enclosure.
